Adventures in Drying
The dryer we've been using is the gas dryer that I think was original to the house in 1980, and our gas bills have reflected this. Last weekend while I studied for the tax exam, The Girl went out and picked out a new, efficient, large capacity one from the Sears scratch and dent up the road. Of course, as The Girl's matron of honor says, "It's not just the thing. It's the thing FOR the thing."
It wasn't just the dryer, it was the delivery for the dryer. And the plumber to hook up the dryer. And the town inspector to okay the hookup by the plumber of the dryer. And the new metal duct. And the doorframe. Click on the picture for the small photoset and accompanying tale.
