Laura Branigan, 1957-2004 

Laura Branigan, the Grammy-nominated singer responsible for "all the voices in your head singing Gloria," died suddenly last Thursday of a brain aneurysm. After releasing seven albums in the 80's and 90's, she had stepped away from performing from 1996-2001, when she hit Broadway as Janis Joplin in "Love, Janis." She had also been working on pieces for a new release.
